The Babyzen Yoyo2 is the most popular travel stroller on the market. It fits in the cabin of airplanes easily, folds up with just one hand, and is well-known among travelers. This has led to it being a staple at airports.

Most parents have a strong preference for lightweight, compact, and collapsible baby strollers that give them the utmost convenience. The Yoyo was an instant hit after its 2012 launch because parents loved its innovative features.

Features of Babyzen Yoyo2 Stroller

Handlebar

The YOYO2 is a good choice for any family with young children, but it is worth noting that the handlebar cannot be adjusted to make it more comfortable for people of different heights. If multiple people use this stroller, the adjustable handlebar may be a factor to consider when making a purchase choice.

Babyzen has recently introduced the new leatherette accent to their handlebar, which is only a minor modification. This addition gives the stroller a more luxurious appearance that anyone can appreciate.

Suspension

YOYO2 rides exceptionally smoothly and comfortably, thanks to its Hytrel® all-wheel independent suspension system. This suspension system is great for those who live in a city, especially if they need assistance with traversing the sidewalk; it is not recommended for those who live in rural areas

Seating

The seating on the YOYO2 is both comfy and adaptable. Parents can choose from three different seating options. The bassinet, newborn pack (0+ pack), and 6+ pack are the options.

Newborn pack (0+): The bundle resembles a bassinet. It is made of a completely flat mattress with two different canopy positions, head support, and a covered footrest.

Bassinet: The bundle comes with a ventilated bassinet for your baby to sleep in, a canopy to block out the light, and a thick breathable mattress for them to sleep on. The stroller does not fold with the bassinet attached but does fold with adapters attached.

6+ pack: This version includes a padded, reclining seat with a five-point safety belt, a canopy to provide shade for the child, and a footrest.

Storage

The YOYO2 is a compact, lightweight stroller that may not have enough storage space for some parents, and the maximum weight limit of 11.02 pounds means it may be too small to accommodate the needs of taller or heavier children. However, it should be able to hold your diaper bag and other small items you need for your child.

Canopy

This canopy is made of waterproof fabric that has a UPF rating of 50+ and provides excellent sun protection. If the canopy doesn’t provide enough coverage you can buy an attachable parasol.

Folding

The YOYO2 stroller is all about the ease of unfolding. The process is intuitive and only takes one or two seconds without any added effort. The folding process is also easy, with only two quick steps involved.

If you’ve ever seen someone going around with a folded YOYO stroller, it may seem like just a toy or maybe even an item that they were carrying and not a functional stroller. But what these people don’t realize is that the small size of this device makes it easy to board public transportation, as well as subways and airplanes.

Brakes

The brake system is not impressive, but it is good enough to do the job. The braking system can be engaged or disengaged with a push of your toe. When the Babyzen’s push-push pedal is pushed down, it engages the brakes.

Travel System

By definition, a travel system is any stroller that is compatible with an infant car seat. A full-size stroller might be a travel system for some people but it’s not something that I would want to travel with.

I believe that size and weight are important elements in determining if a travel system is suitable for use on your trip. The YOYO2 stands out from the crowd because of its convenience, lightweight, and small size.

The YOYO car seat was developed in collaboration with Babyzen and BeSafe®. Although it is a very safe and protective baby car seat, Babyzen offers adapters for Nuna, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, and Clek car seats.

Accessories

The need for additional accessories is a great characteristic of the Babyzen Yoyo, but it is also costly. For example, when you purchase the stroller you will only be given a rain cover, and if you want to use it for different purposes or climates then you’ll need to buy additional accessories separately.

Their accessories are listed below:

  • Newborn pack – Suitable for newborns up to 6 months of age.
  • Car seat adaptors – The Yoyo+ works with the Cybex Aton-Q, the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus and Pebble, the Cybex Aton-Q, and the Nuna Pipa.
  • Yoyo carry bag – This fantastic bag increases onboard storage.
  • Our favorite accessory is a yoyo and a buggy board
  • Yoyo+ travel bag that can be worn as a backpack or over the shoulder.
  • A parasol provides additional sun protection.
  • Footmuff – Keep your child warm on cold days.
  • The stroller bar is ideal for toddlers.
  • Mosquito nets are an excellent addition to a travel stroller.
  • Yoyo cup holder – Ideal for a quick cup of coffee on the go.

Conclusion

The original design of the YOYO stroller was near perfect, and improving upon it is difficult. However, small changes to the YOYO2 go a long way – such as adding a 5-point harness for safety and convenience for both parent and child, or larger wheels that make it easier to transport on rougher terrain.

The overall experience when riding on the Babyzen is more luxurious, beginning with replacing the foam grip on the handlebar with leatherette. The suspension system was also updated to provide a smoother ride and better steering.

If you’re not familiar with the original YOYO stroller, its new features might go unnoticed. Some other enhancements include a safety harness buckle, new harness straps, recline settings, and a variety of different color options.

The YOYO2 is perfect for any parent that is on the go. It offers a safe and lightweight way to transport your child with you anywhere you go, whether it’s just across town or halfway around the world.
